Through the Kaplen Institute for Nursing Excellence, Englewood Health will expand efforts to provide existing and future nurses the skills, resources and education needed to lead with compassionate, high-quality care and reach new heights of nursing excellence.

The largest gift in health system history, a $10 million leadership-level investment from The Kaplen Foundation and its president, Maggie Kaplen, established The Kaplen Institute for Nursing Excellence in early 2020. This unprecedented philanthropic commitment signaled the embrace of a bold vision to nurture our next generation of nurses and create a lasting impact on our regional community. The Kaplen Institute for Nursing Excellence at Englewood Health will recruit, educate and empower best-in-class nursing professionals while also creating a pipeline for new nurses to establish careers within the health system.

As our nurses continue to shape the healthcare experience in immeasurable ways, we must continue to advance this living legacy. Our goal is to raise an additional $10 million over the next five years.
